Leave a Message at the Beep

Isn't life strange? I am a fan of prayer and God, and Jesus and Mary, hell the whole gang, and I often selfishly ask for things that I am sure I don't deserve or are just completely unimportant in the grand scheme of things. Well back in August I had told my husband and a few of my friends that I wanted nothing more that to be pregnant in September, so that I could share the news with everyone at my sons second birthday party. The plan was to wrap a shirt that said something like "World's Best Brother" on it and unwrap it for all to see. Well my prayer was answered....

Dear Pretty in Pink,

It was the morning of your big brothers birthday, September 30th,2012, and I decided to take the ever so stressful pregnancy test. God bless "first Response" as I hadn't missed my monthly visitor yet, but just thought I would give it a whirl. I had told myself that I wouldn't be upset if the reply the stick shouted at me was negative, but we both know that was a lie. So anyhow, I take the test, stare at it for 30 seconds, and yup it was NEGATIVE. Now they say to wait 5 minutes for results, but one thing you will learn to know about your momma here is just how incredibly impatient I am. So after my fury set in I stormed back to bed. Thirty minutes later I got out of bed and went to the washroom, picked the test off the floor and could not believe what I was seeing, a faint line, a pink faint line, the test was POSITIVE.
I went into the kitchen and tossed the test to your dad and he was completely in shock. Dad was quickly sent on an errand to find me that shirt!
Everyone was ecstatic to hear the news, especially your grandma. I was in complete shock all day, I couldn't believe that God had given us such a tremendous gift to share on such a great day. I couldn't believe that I got what I wanted, ha ha.
It is so funny how much you love someone without even meeting them, for me I instantly loved you unconditionally. You were the greatest birthday gift I could have ever given.
So when you think that God isn't listening, your wrong, you may need to leave a message at the beep, but he'll get back to you when the time is right. Remember that always, God ignores no one, don't ever give up on Him, He's the only one who will ALWAYS be there for you ALWAYS.
