A Weekend Away

Well we were going to Mim and Papas for Aunt Danas birthday and decided we may as well also head to Marineland for the day. So our adventure started in Forest Hill where we all had such a great time! Gavin you enjoyed learning how to skateboard and you, Isla and Audrey all discovered the beach at the Pinery, sad to say it was your first time at the beach! BUT, You had a great time!

Bonnie fete Aunt Dana.... Gavin you sand wonderfully :) "chocolat, ou la la" haha

After a great weekend in Forest Hill with Family we were onto our next adventure to Marine Land! Gavin this was your 3rd time going, Isla's 2nd and Audrey's first. The last time we went Gavin was too short for many of the rides. This time he was able to ride many of the ones he couldn't last year. We can't believe how much of a daredevil Gavin is. He little rally wanted to ride each and every ride. His favourite ride was the swings. Surprisingly dad also went on them with him the first time and didn't barf. Gavin smiled and screamed the entire ride. When he got off he insisted on going again, he subjected himself to those swings 4 times, no break either, just one time right after the next after the next.

Gavin and Isla both LOVED the belugas! Isla adored them and chose to take home a blow up beluga (which the dogs later tore to shreds). It was the belugas birthday and you both sang to him. Gavin you bought a postcard and were convinced the beluga on the postcard was the one whose birthday it was...we gave it to you, sure, I mean, it could've very well of been that beluga, right?! ;)

Isla you went on some rides for the very first time too and you LOVED them!!

Audrey did a fabulous job just chillin in the stroller!

This was a great trip, filled with fantastic memories and love. Life is so strange, we grow up all wanting to experience things for ourselves than we have kids and all we want to do is experience life through their eyes. Thank you to all three of you amazing beings for showing me and dad what life is really about, we love seeing love and happiness fill those eyes and those emotions and images full our hearts and memories forever!

You're a Senior today!

Dear Gavin,

Today was your first day of senior kindergarten. I have mixed emotions. We had such a great summer together making many family memories, I enjoyed having your laughter and rumble and tumbleness in the house and now today you return to school. I will miss our days together and I am sad as this is just another step in the "growing up department".
It feels like yesterday you were my amazingly beautiful baby boy, who snuggled in my arms for hours and hours and who napped on my chest. Now in just a few short weeks you will be turning 5, I can't believe how fast you have grown.
I am so proud to be your momma. I thank God each day. You are an amazing little boy with the most amazing heart and amazing imagination. And today I pray you are safe, friendly and have a great day, today you are a senior, the big kid on the playground. But to me you'll always be my little boy. I Love you Gavin .

A Treasure from The Pirates of Forest Hill

This year for thanksgiving we travelled to Forest Hill to visit Papa and Mim. We had a very talkative trip up, 2 hours of non stop questioning. Gavin was looking forward to seeing Papa and Mim but didn't fail to mention how much he liked their "old small house" but also liked their "new big house, even though it's broken" "do you think they fixed the broken wall?" LOL we arrived and everyone (mostly) was there. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and after dinner Mim and Papa told Gavin that they had gone back to the beach that we went to the last time we visited and they discovered a "Pirates Treasure" Mim explained that they cleaned it all up and the treasures were for a boy and girl. Gavin opened the treasure along with Isla and they were both SO excited! Something so small, a white little lie, can make the day of a child. Gavin's day was made and the memory will last a lifetime....but the candy, only a few minutes! :)

Balloon Fun

This morning we had fun with these awesome balloons dad bought. They have tiny LED lights inside and glow when you pull the paper. Gavin and Isla loved them! The white were by far the best and the purple....well the purple weren't so good!!

I've started asking Gavin once a month or so "if you were to go to the moon and you could only bring ______ with you what would you bring?"

So here were the questions for May:

If you were going to the moon and could only bring one person who would it be....

A: mommy

..........and you could only bring one toy what would you bring?

A: Bumblebee

.........and you could only bring one food, what would you bring?

A: Oatmeal.

....... And you could only bring one movie what would you bring?

A: Scooby Doo

.....and could only bring one article of clthes, what would you bring?

A: shorts!

The Doctor...continues

Here we are with the mighty chicken pox infected doctor again...maybe from outer space?!

A Love Letter for my boy?!

Gavin came home from school today with this letter. He said it was from a girl named Lucy. It appears she tried to give him her digits! ;)

Doctor Who?

So this is who Gavin calls "Dr.Pesenault" I couldn't stop laughing because I've never heard of this person. But needless to say he's a doctor and he looks like he may have a case of the chicken pox!

A Little Piece of Heaven

This is Gavins newest creation. There is so much going on in this picture. Rockets, spiders, bees and of course Jesus!

Potty Time!!

Well my two year old has conquered the potty! Bought her a Minney Mouse Potty and within two minutes of it being in the house she had peed and than poo'd! The celebration was like Canada had just won the Gold!
First pee!!! Can't say she isn't hydrated... Clear as water ;) Onto day two tomorrow!!!

Movie Time

Today we took Gavin and Isla to see "Inside Out" was super cute! The kids really enjoyed it. Isla was 100% attentive while Gavin couldn't sit still. I love going to the movies with the kids, too bad it costs a bloody fortune, $8.75 on CHEAP day!!!

Isla sat on Daddy's lap where she enjoyed her popcorn "mmmmm yummy" and laughed when daddy laughed.
Gavin jumped from seat to seat until he found himself comfy cozy with his feet up... Hard day at school I suppose ;)
Can hardly see but this is a nice brotherly sister embrace!

Princess Isla is Two!!

Dear Miss Isla,

HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Today you are TWO!! I can't believe it. Time is going so incredibly quickly. You are growing into a beautiful little girl. The changes that I have noticed in your appearance over just the last 6 months is unbelievable. You went from just a wee baby to a feisty two year old in the blink of an eye.

You are incredibly smart, adorable, funny, loud, exciting, loving, nurturing and goofy! You are both the sweetest girl on the planet and the most feisty. You can make us laugh so hard at times where we have tears streaming down our faces. Your speech has sky rocketed... you are talking so well and it is so great to hear your small sweet voice. I love watching you and Gavin. You already have sibling rivalry mastered and even though there are times where we want to pull our hair out, we love watching the two of you play and disagree. You have taken on the role of big sister and have made it look easy. You adore Audrey, you are protective and loving to her. Your smile is contagious and your laugh is like music to our ears.

I love watching you play. Right now you adore your babies, colouring and pretending you are a doctor. You play so well on your own and with others. Sharing is obviously challenging still but you do it and you smile when you realize how happy you've made the other person.

You weigh 25lbs right now, your hair is dirty blonde, your eyes are still blue (they better stay that way) and your lashes....you have eye lashes that most women would kill for!

You are so perfect and I am so blessed to be your momma. I love you so, so much and although I am having a very hard time watching all three of you grow so quickly, I am loving the changes and the little people you are becoming.

I love you Isla and Happy 2nd Birthday!!

Family Portrait

Gavin drew this for me May 16th, 2015. It now hangs on our art wall downstairs. He was so proud. As for Anthony and I we couldn't stop laughing. Everything about this picture is amazing. I love how I look like Dracula, I love how big Anthonys forehead is, how high Gavin and Islas hair stands, I love how gavin has no arms and how everyone has very serious expressions. This is one of my top 3 most favourite pictures Gavin has made me. XO

Unbirthday Party

Gavin came home from school today pretty convinced that it was his birthday. So I decided, sure we can have an unbirthday party. So Moga grabbed a cake, some hats and happy meals for the kids. We had the best unbirthday party and the kids were so excited! Everybody should experience an unbirthday every once in a blue moon!

Spongebob OBSESSED

For a good 6 months or more in 2014-2015 Gavin was obsessed with Spongebob. These were some of the projects we did together. These puppets were made by Moga and Mommy. Gavin was thrilled with them and did not want to share with Isla. I made an extra Patrick to avoid the drama, it worked, momentarily!  They lasted a few days and then were destroyed by the girl....Gavin to say you angry was an understatement!

Our next Spongebob project was Gavin dictating to me what everyones houses looked like, what colours they were and how to paint them. First we made them from clay, the drying process was tedious, as well kids have zero patience. The painting was fun and even better was watching Gavin arrange the houses in the order that they are in the show. I officially think he watches too much Spongebob!!

Then there were FIVE

Finally!!! After 9 long months our third baby and second girl has arrived. Perfection! She is absolutely perfect! There is no better feeling than holding your baby for the very first time.

This labour and delivery was one for the books. This morning I started having cramping, but not like labour pains. They were timed and when I phoned the midwife she told me I wasn't in labour. So I spent the day in bed, napping on and off, Anthony went to work and I was somewhat ok with it. The pain increased and around 5pm I decided I should go in. I called the midwife and she directed me to head in. THANK GOD for my good friend Christina who came and got me, called in sick to work and brought me to the hospital. When I called Anthony to tell me he gave me a little attitude and said he would meet me at the hospital (he was convinced it was a false alarm)

When Christina picked me up my "contractions" were 5 minutes apart and I was saying "if they send me home I'm going to be so mad!" I grabbed blankets invade I delivered in the car!
By the time we were leaving Puce they were 3 minutes apart and when we were getting to the exit off EC Row to Walker road they were now 1 minute apart.

Anthony arrived at the hospital at the same time we did and we headed upstairs to where Andrea Cassidy (my midwife) was waiting for us. She checked me and I was 8-9cm!!!! I was in shock! WHAT!!!! They quickly wheeled me to the delivery room where the fun began! We arrived at the hospital at 615pm and by 710pm my sweet girl was here!

We were in the hospital for 2 nights because Audrey was Jaundice. We were so relieved to finally get to go home!
